About the Author
Holland is a proudly queer author with a penchant for queer-normative fantasy, sci-fi, and (in her words) “anything with dragons.’ Her first-ever story, a self-insert Peter Pan adaptation, was written in a sparkly blue notebook with a bright pink spiral spine not long after learning how to string her first sentences together on paper. Now a grown-up, Holland has two cats and a wife she loves dearly. Many things have changed over the years, but not her imagination. These days, she likes to write the kind of cozy queer stories that (hopefully) make you want to curl up on a sofa with a cup of tea and raindrops tapping on the windowsill.

Farah's Familiars
A Creature Cafe
The Chronicles of Ferndell Book 1
Releases August 28, 2026.
Ferndell is a slow place. At least, that’s what Farah thought for the last three years. She has a comfortable, if directionless, routine behind the counter at Ambrewsia Café. It’s a quiet life, but an upgrade from being dumped on the street by her coven when she failed to develop magical abilities. Then her boss decides to retire, a talking cat shows up behind the compost with a broken leg, and whispers begin to spread about a magical spring that can awaken dormant powers. With a slew of would-be familiars barging into her tidy café, resulting in an unexpected bargain with her reclusive neighbor Rune, Farah must make an impossible choice: inherit the café and the quiet life she’s come to love, or risk everything to win back her family.
